About Former Fit
Hi, I’m Jaye. I’m an author, a parent, a small-town politician, a dog lover, a researcher, and a perennial student. And I’m fat.
I wasn’t always fat. I was formerly fit. I had stamina to beat the band, I was strong, and I was active. I got very fat, very suddenly, and I’ve faced a constant battle with my body since then.
That doesn’t seem all that healthy to me.
I’m not really trying to get *thin* anymore. I know it’s not possible, and the things I’ve tried to get there weren’t exactly hallmark moments for my sanity. Instead, I’m trying to get to a point I’d consider healthy.
If I lose weight, fantastic. We’ll have fun talking about different methods and remedies, and you can laugh at all of my frustrations. I know I’m not the only one out here with these issues, and sometimes it can feel good to know you’re not alone.
What I’m really trying to do here is to get more comfortable in my own skin. I want to get healthier, in every sense of the word, and I’m inviting you to join me.
